i just installed vista on my computer, overall i think it's the best OS i have ever seen, and i'm a big fan of Windows in general or even latest stable OS XP.
but here is the thing...
VISTA running kind of slow for me, even though I thought i had a decent computer, not according to "Performance Rating and Tools"..
Overall raiting - 4 Processor - Intel Pentium 4 3.4Ghz - 4.1 Memory - 2.0Gb - 5.1 Primary hard disk: 356.45Gb Free (371.61GB Total) - 4.0 Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX - 5.9 Gaming Graphics - 256MB - 5.7
Processor if mine is 4.1, what is 10? Pentium D? or P EE? memory 2.0g is only 5, what's to? 4GB? does VISTA really need 4GB?? HDD: 400g gives 4.0, how much VISTA really needs??? 1TB? Graphics, 5.9, i though for today there is one more modification that came out after mine and i have 5.9.. Graphics's MEM - 256 - 5.7 how much is 10? 1G?
what is requirements and recomends setup for VISTA?

System-Raiting
The code is not optimized yet. After the system gets through indexing you should see more responsiveness. I have a dual core 64-bit system with 4GB of ram and Vista x86 is slow even on it (Vista x64 is much more responsive).

Here is some information about the ratings: http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/f59082f4-6385-4a61-ba7e-2de9625a780a1033.mspx Search Microsoft.com for "vista performance ratings" for more.
You more than meet the minimum or recommended for Vista: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/systemrequirements.mspx Also: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/capable.mspx
You have a very high rating. Just because the computer does not have the maximum 5 rating does not even suggest the computer does not meet Vista requirements.
Also do not get to hung up on the numbers, use as a guide only. Does the computer do what it needs to do as well as it should? If not, the specific issue will probably point to the resolution. Lastly, all the available information is subject to change as long a Vista is in Beta.

If I recall correctly, the "overall ratings" only go from 1 to 5.

Ratings for the time being are between 1 and 5, but they WILL eventually go higher... This rating is not supposed to change from year to year or Windows version to version. If that PC is a 4 today, it will still be a 4 in 2020 running Windows Gestapo version.
If I were you, I would be crying tears of joy, I have a lousy 2. But like Colin says, Vista is not optimized for performance, so things might still get better. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

if it'd be 1 out of 5 then my video wouldn't detect 5.9 and gaming ram would be 5.7 the system obviosly is out of 10

Do not let the ratings of the other components confuse you, the numerical relationship is not as you think The maximum rating for a computer is 5: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/topics/vista/winsat.mspx Particularly see "Introducing the Windows System Assessment Tool" Your 4 is near the top.
